Funding for Solar & LED Upgrades in 117 Public Schools
The Western Australian Government has announced new funding for 117 public schools through the Schools Clean Energy Technology Fund, enabling installations of solar photovoltaic systems and LED lighting upgrades. This round of funding, part of a $44.6 million commitment over four years, includes 45 regional and 72 metropolitan schools, supporting WA’s journey to a sustainable future.
Empowering Students in Renewable Energy Education
The upgrades align with WA’s Climate Policy, and Education Minister Dr. Tony Buti highlighted that they offer students hands-on learning about renewable energy’s benefits. Energy Minister Reece Whitby added that schools can now set an example of energy savings and emissions reductions for communities across WA.
