Endeavour Energy has attained the prestigious ISO 27001:2022 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS), covering 20 physical locations, including critical substations, control rooms, and data centres. This milestone ensures the company’s energy infrastructure remains secure and reliable amidst growing cyber threats.

CEO Guy Chalkley emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in maintaining energy reliability, supporting the clean energy transition, and safeguarding customer data. “This certification sets a new standard in cybersecurity within Australia’s energy sector,” Chalkley said, highlighting the company’s advanced grid management technologies enabling secure, bidirectional energy flows.

In collaboration with CyberCX, Endeavour Energy implemented comprehensive measures to meet the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act requirements. Over 18 months, the process included physical site visits, tailored training, risk mitigation planning, and integration of operational and information technology systems.
