New Executive for Infrastructure Delivery
APA Group has appointed Rob Evans as the new Group Executive, Infrastructure Delivery, set to take over from Kevin Lester, who will retire in June 2025 after nearly 40 years in the energy sector.

A Proven Leader in Infrastructure
Evans brings over 30 years of experience in delivering major infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally, particularly in oil, gas, and energy. Most recently, he served as Executive General Manager, Infrastructure at John Holland, leading a team of 2,000 professionals on large-scale projects. He has also held key roles at Lendlease, Thiess, and Transfield Services.
Driving APA’s Growth Strategy
APA Group CEO Adam Watson highlighted Evans’ strong leadership, customer focus, and commitment to safety as essential qualities for executing APA’s ambitious growth strategy. “Rob’s track record of successful project delivery across various contracting models will be invaluable as we continue to expand,” Watson said.
Evans expressed enthusiasm about joining APA at a pivotal moment for Australia’s energy landscape. “I’m honored to help drive APA’s strategy and contribute to sustainable and impactful energy infrastructure for future generations,” he stated.
Evans will officially join APA in June 2025, ensuring a smooth transition with Lester before his departure.
